Meeting of representatives of the IQNet Member Bodies providing management system certification

On November 26-27, 2019, a meeting of representatives of the IQNet member Bodies providing management system certification bodies took place in Antalya, Turkey. The meeting was devoted to the summary of achievements in 2019, plans for the coming years, including development of the form of the IQNet 30th anniversary celebration together with the Romanian certification body SRAC. The Polish Centre for Testing and Certification, as a permanent partner of the IQNet since 1997, also actively participated in the meeting.

The issues discussed during particular days concerned strategic topics as well as specific tasks emerging in the daily activities of certification bodies. The meeting was attended by certification bodies from around the world (Mexico, China, Korea, Japan, Russian Federation, Austria, Germany and others). The meeting was hosted by the Turkish Standards Institution certification body. A common position was established in each area during the IQNet meeting.

The most important issues discussed included, inter alia:

• Directions of changes in the IQNet strategy, e.g.: promoting the IQNet image as an organization with technical competence
• IQNet database management, identification of change needs and personal data management in terms of GDPR
• Status of standardization documents
• International cooperation with EA, IAF and ISO etc.
