Organic production logo of the European Union

The organic production logo of the European Union may only be placed on products that have obtained an organic production certificate issued by an authorised control body or control authority and means that the product complies with the principles of organic production. Products must meet strict conditions at every stage of production, preparation, storage, transport and distribution.

The number of the control body must be placed next to the organic production logo of the European Union, as well as the place of production of the agricultural raw materials of which the product is composed.

The rules on the organic production logo of the European Union are set out in Article 33 of Regulation (EU) 2018/848 of the European Parliament and of the Council and its model is set out in Annex V to the Regulation.
